CycleDC TOURS

Founders Tour | $45 per person
For those who have an interest in learning more about our Founder's, and the Revolutionary War they fought, this tour is for you. Most of us understand the role George Washington played in the early years of our Nation, but there is a whole host of others who walked beside him and helped lay the foundation. Learn how the lives of the Founder's overlapped to create this great nation; from the Jefferson Memorial and Wash Monument to the Signer's and George Mason Memorials, this 4 mile tour will help you tie all those loose ends from history class that didn't seem to make much sense at the time. Civil War Tour | $45 per person
If your passion is Civil War history, you will enjoy this tour. The obvious site to see is the Lincoln Memorial, and we will take you there and give you an opportunity to read the words Lincoln spoke at his second inauguration address, as well as what he said at Gettysburg in November 1863. See where the Lincoln conspirators secretly met, and where they met their end. Learn who Clara Barton was, and see where she lived and worked. Book Now
Christian Heritage Tour | $50 per person
You have heard the stories about this being a secular nation, and the stories that the Founders were all deists. But is that the case? Most folks believe the phrase "separation of church and state" is part of the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. Is that true? Why would Thomas Jefferson, along with members of Congress, attend church services in the U.S Capitol for 8 years if he believed in that "wall of separation"?

What do the Founders own writings (not the writings of a 20th century author) tell us about their beliefs? When you read their words, and hear what else they had to say, it becomes clear their intent was to forge a nation built on Christian principles. Let us show you the memorials, monuments and statutes throughout the District that will give you a better understanding of what the Founders, and those that came after them, really believed. Here their own words, and see the monuments that were built to honor them, and the God they believed in. Book Now

United States War Memorial Tour | $45 per person
Some of our most notable and noble memorials are those dedicated to the men and women who have fought in the service of their country. And not all those who lived and died in the service of our country, were Americans. From the Revolutionary War to Iraqi Freedom, this tour will take you to the locations where we honor those who have fallen.

Note: this tour involves crossing into Virginia to stop at the newly dedicated Air Force and 9/11 Memorials, as well as some walking at Arlington Cemetery to see the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. This tour involves climbing a few short hills. For those who do not want to see the Arlington Cemetery, the Air Force and 9/11 Memorials, the tour can be shortened. Book Now

If no one has ever told you, seeing DC by moonlight (or street lights if the moon isn't full) is an experience not to be missed. Escape the heat of the day, and much of the congestion, and see the sites in a whole new light (pun intended). The difference between full sun and moonlight on the memorials is astounding. Come ride with us as we experience sunset, and see what we are talking about. This is a leisurely ride not to be missed. You will not regret doing this. And remember, we want to get home, so we promise not to keep you out too late. Book Now
Photographers Tour | $50 per person
Everyone who has been to DC always has that one picture they like best...you know, the shot with their finger on top of the Washington Monument, or that cute little squirrel eating out of a trash can (are we the only city with squirrels?). Let us show you our favorite places to capture that special photograph; one for the living room wall back home. This is a tour you want to do early morning or late afternoon to get the best light. Book Now
Blossoms Tour | $45 per person
As the name suggests, this is THE tour to take if you are in Washington DC during the Cherry Blossom Festival, and if you have ever been in Washington DC during the festival, you know how crowded it is. There is no better way to see the all blossoms than from the seat of a bike. Peak blossom time is normally the last few days of March and the first few days of April, although it can be a week either side of that. You can check the National Cherry Blossom Festival website for a blossom watch update. If you were ever inclined to get up early, this is the time to do it. Sunrise when the Tidal Basin is awash with blossoms is truly spectacular...and a lot less crowded. Book Now
Your Own Personalized Tour | $65 per person
This is the granddaddy of them all!
This tour is exactly what you want it to be, because you get to decide what you want to see and do...go where you want to go, not just where the bus is taking you.. You decide what to see, and we take you there. Want to make it an all day tour of DC and see sites you have heard others talk about? Not sure what you want to see, but you know you want to "do it all", this is the tour for you. If you see something interesting down a side street, we will go there (and we promise we won't get you lost, no matter how many side streets we go down). Typical Personalized Tours will last 4-6 hours, but can be shorter or longer depending on what you want. Book Now
Leadership Cycling Adventures | $65 per person
Don't let the name fool you, this is a tour available to everyone, but was specifically developed for those who are in some type of leadership position. Most of us can enjoy just having the opportunity to experience the sites around Washington DC, but for those who want to go deeper, this is the tour for you. We will take you too many of the normal sites you have read about, or maybe have even seen before, but we will go "behind" the memorials to help you understand why it was built. What was it about the leadership of that man (or perhaps the four women who have been honored with a statute in the District) that merited such a memorial? And equally as important, what can we learn from these 'greats' that we can apply to our own lives today. We will also try to get you away from the hustle of the District and let you have some down time just enjoying nature... we promise 'nature' does not include lions, tiger, and bears...just a little patch of quiet. * Note: Meals and gratuities are not included in our tour prices
